Step 1: Download Webmin RPM

cd /opt
wget http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/webadmin/webmin-1.860-1.noarch.rpm

Step 2: Install Webmin Using rpm Command

yum -y install perl perl-Net-SSLeay openssl perl-IO-Tty
rpm -U webmin-1.831-1.noarch.rpm

Step 3: Access Webmin in Browser

http://server_name:10000/ OR http://server_ip:10000/

Webmin Themes:  download from my Yandex disk

After install:

  • make sure that it runs automatically at system startup:
chkconfig --level 2345 webmin on
  • Start Webmin by entering the following:
service webmin start
  • add to firewall to allow access to Webmin:
iptables -I INPUT -p tcp --dport 10000 -j ACCEPT ;
/etc/init.d/iptables save

 

 

 

 

 

Install Webmin on CentOS 7

To get started, login your remote server and follow the steps below:
First, create a new file webmin.repo in /etc/yum.repos.d/ :

vi /etc/yum.repos.d/webmin.repo

and paste below line:

[Webmin]
name=Webmin Distribution Neutral
#baseurl=http://download.webmin.com/download/yum
mirrorlist=http://download.webmin.com/download/yum/mirrorlist
enabled=1

Install webmin GPG key using below command.

rpm --import http://www.webmin.com/jcameron-key.asc

Now, update the repositorys:

yum check-update

Install webmin:

yum install webmin -y

Start the service and make it start automatically

chkconfig webmin on
service webmin start

By default, Webmin will listen on port 10000. Enable webmin Port:

firewall-cmd --add-port=10000/tcp

Now, open http://ip.add.re.ss:10000 in your browser and enter yor root username and password:
